I know that ISIS is working on OSI layer structure, but how it si different than ospf, and in which cases I need to select ISIS over OSPF ?

It is ture that practice is very important for CCIE Certificate study. Howerver, the lack of a right tool and the absense of a approachable lab network become some trouble for the guys who need practice.

I am an networking professional and worked for the SP for more than 3 years as of now.
I would like to pursue the CCIE certification, but am confused between CCIE-SP and CCIE-R&S.
What are the pros and cons(if any) for the both of these certifications.

Hi All,
This is my first post in this blog. I am pretty sure people are aware that there is open ended questions like R&S in SP lab too from jan 9th of 2010.
My query is what what will be the source of these questions. will be based out of the lab blueprint or the written exam blueprint.
If it's gonna be on the written blueprint it will be a real tough to clear them as the written exam blueprint spans across, ip telephony, sonet, sdh, dsl, metro ethernet, optical, DWDM plus MPLS.
Does someone have any clarity on the same. It would be great to have an insight.

Sorry been away and a little busy..reading for the Written exam.
I did my ccie R&S written exam today and passed well though they have not confirmed my grades but am sure they will cause nothing was spooky.
Most helpful doc was Cisco Press and other material that I found quiet helpful was the Pass4sure and TestKing

I met with a candidate this week who took me through his last ten years of writing certifications that yielded very little good jobs for him. He admitted to making some poor choices when choosing which technology tracks to follow. Now, he believes, he is finally on the right track with writing his CCIE.
Getting into IT can get you a great job with a great salary. People in this industry generally average more money than people in other industries. Choosing a technology too stick with can also help you to focus- something most people can’t do. ... read more »

Once you’ve gained a sufficient amount of experience in the work world as a CCIE or a CCNA, you find more choices come upon you. One of those choices is the opportunity to choose between working for the VAR (Value Added Reseller) or working for the larger corporate network.

Now decided to choose networking as my career. by the way I am running 37 now. I have contacted ACIT one of the well know institute in Mumbai for the course , course fees is 65000/- INR. My CiscoWorks LMS 2.6 Device Center fails on the SSH V2 Device Credential Verification detailed on the Report as
1. SSH verification-Incorrect.
2. SSH enable-Did not try
Using SSH V1 I get an OK status on both. How do I make CiscoWorks to manage the network devices with SSH V2?
