Beginners CCIE R/S lab

Mission of this study group is to get together aspirants that are looking to start and or have just started prepration for CCIE R/S lab and share their thoughts, prepration plans, material, technical querries and past network experiences.

Hmm,, Just passed the TSHOOT exam recently and looking forward to the CCIE(R&S) Lab

Gotta cover up the knowledge gap between the NP and the IE, even more so after cisco removed some important topics from the NP curriculum

Planning to start with ATC from the INE and study technologies individually

Techs to study are

1) BGP
2) MPLS VPN
3) QOS
4) SECURITY
5) IPV6
6) NTP
7) NETWORK SERVICES

i hope that by the time iam done studying these technologies, i will be at least on the knowledge base for the CCIE and the real prep can start from there  ...  read more »

Studying Incorrectly for CCIE Lab?

Everyone knows the CCIE Lab is one of the most difficult exams. And it doesn't exactly help that the study methods used aren't the most efficient. The first day of my CCIE journey

Wow....wow...

this is really a beginning journey for me.
i've never thought i'll come this far.
i've just past my written exam 3 days ago.
yesterday my boss has asked me to sit down together to talk about my plan on taking lab exam.

right now, i've prepared nothing just yet...hehehe
as i'm still working on some project from him.
but at least i've prepared some lab simulator to be ready anytime i'm in the mood to try some lab.. :)

1st day to accomplish a dream

This is a day like any other just that I have started a new journey - the CCIE R&S one :). I didn't set a time line for this as I've usually done this year because I want to see how fast learning goes.

I like the following quote: "the road is better than the destination". I'm sure this journey is going to be a harsh one and a nice one also. Picture, want, work, obtain, improve, work :).

I'm willing to spend as much time as needed to make this possible and I'm sure that I'm going to learn a lot.
