New Blog!

Whee! New blog. The old one got deleted for long inactivity.

I have given up on getting CCIE (this year). It was never a good idea in the first place, and even my mentor has mentioned so.

I never wanted to rush into this whole CCIE affair so quickly. I don't know how I got badgered into it, but it's been a waste. As some of my commentors have pointed out, I am very inexperienced and was foolish for trying to reach for the sun, or at least so early.

Let it be known again, that it wasn't my idea in the first place. I shouldn't have told people that I planned on getting the CCIE certification. My ideal timeline was within three years from start to end, but I have been rushed to do it in one.

The moral of this story is that there are some people who you reveal your plans to, and some who you don't. It's been nothing but grief the whole way through.

I have not given up on Cisco completely, I still plan to do the CCIE, but I am a little sick of hearing the acronym.

Some of you who know me will know that I have been wavering and wanting to go back to the original plan.

The original plan was always to get CCDA, CCNP Security and CCNP ISP. I could have, but I can't now. I can however, still get the CCDA Design certificate before i depart (If i can still depart after this whole CCIE fiasco gets revealed).

If I'm quick, I may be able to grab CCNA Security and/or ISP as well.
