Please make sure that either logging console or logging buffered is enabled while doing the troubleshooting section.

I have noticed in several occasions while doing INE TS labs that neither of these commands were enabled by default and I was doing RIP debugging troubleshooting.

I thought that RIP is not seding an updates as it is believed to be slow protocol:-)...But later I realized that the updates were there but they were not being shown.

Shut Down the Physical Interfaces while creating Ether Channels

In many occasions, I have noticed that if we do not shut the physical interfaces before creating Ether Channels, so as soon as the interfaces are added in the channel, they shutdown (actually err-disabled). It should be the best practice to shut the interfaces that we need to add in the Ether Channels, before adding them in the channel-group.

Why I mentioned this because I keep on troubleshooting the problem of Ether Channel not coming up and I realize that the physical interface it self is shut.
