Last week I stuck on a problem in RIP v2. My scenario was very simple. I have two router connected back to back R1-R2, the ip addressing is like below:
R1 s0/0 12.12.12.1/7 lo0 111.111.111.111/8
R2 s0/0 12.12.12.2/7 lo0 112.112.112.112/8
I could not get the rip route for loopback!!!.
When i change the encapsulation from HDLC to PPP wow!!! Strange I got the RIP route.
I could not understand this behavior of RIP?
