About BGP Aggregate address
Hi All :
I have a trouble about the concept of BGP aggregate addrss that found in
RS certification guide 4th edition :
{If the component subnets inside the summary all have the same AS_SEQ, it sets the new
summary route’s AS_SEQ to be exactly like the AS_SEQ of the component subnets.
If the AS_SEQ of the component subnets differs in any way, it sets the AS_SEQ of the new
summary route to null
Conversely, if the aggregate does not empty the AS_SEQ,
the router does not create the AS_SET, as it is not needed for loop prevention in that case}
I don't understand , I think if use BGP aggregate ,the AS sequence in the new summary address always be null because of AUTOMIC AGGREGATE ,the AS path information must be lost .it doesn't care whether the subnet's AS sequence is the same except use as-set . How to understand The above said . Thanks a lot !
